Address from founder Tetsuya Mori ( Chairman )

Businesses are these days facing harsh competitive environments. To survive this challenge, the businesses need to promote Research and Development (R&D) on “a broader competitive stage” from a higher viewpoint, instead of pursuing short-term profits. This is the source of competitive edge in the global market.

We, as IP professionals with high professionalism on IP services, ensure the durability on our business with our organizational strength and provide IP professional services.

We also provide consulting services through our IP expertise on “the broader competitive stage”.

Address from Sohbe Suzuki ( President )

INAUGURATION ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE NEW PRESIDENT

I, Mr. Hidetetsu Tanaka, will take office as the new President of NICHIEI Patent and Trademark Attorneys at the request of the founder / Chairman Managing Partner Dr. Tetsuya Mori and former President Dr. Sohbe Suzuki.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude and greetings as the President of NICHIEI Patent and Trademark Attorneys.

Hidetetsu TANAKA

Hidetetsu TANAKA

I joined the NICHIEI Patent Office (presently NICHIEI Patent and Trademark Attorneys) at the same time as graduating from university in 1987, and I have been engaged in various patent works as a patent engineer. I passed the patent attorney examination in 1992, and even after that I am continuing patent work at the same office without changing my job even once from entry to the present. When counting over the past years, it has exceeded 30 years.

What I have been able to keep on working so far is due to the generosity of many business partners including our clients, guidance by seniors of patent attorneys who I got acquainted with at Japan Patent Attorneys Association, etc., and cooperation of my colleagues. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart.

While I have been working in a fairly free position as one of the patent attorneys so far, it is expected that scenes where I will work in a more inconvenient position will probably increase as I become the president of the office from now on. However, if I leave the field, I will not be able to make use of my experience I have cultivated up to now and eventually will cause inconveniences to our clients. I absolutely must avoid such things.

I will respect the relationship I have built up so far, and I will never change the way of doing work which I do my work in the field. I will rather go out to listen to the client’s story more than ever.

In order to be able to respond to the various requests and demands of the clients as much as possible, all the staff members are prepared to work towards their duties.

Thank you very much for your support and I look forward to a continued successful relationship for many years.

Sincerely,
